Today's blog is going to be about the GUNNZO Gunpla Contest. It has been sometime since our last post on GUNNZO blog. I believe that most of you have already known about the Gunpla contest before, either from the internet, or news, or from friends and family. But how many of us have already known about Plastic Tactics, I wondered? And what exactly is plastic tactics anyway?
Before starting the blog, we would like to announce to everyone that a big change has happened to us. After many years of consideration, finally in July 2025, thanks to the support and courage from everyone, we are able to establish a second store beside the well known GUNNZO store in Old Town San Diego. It is just like a dream came true to us. We, GUNNZO Team, proudly named our second store: the GUNNZO HOBBY STATION. The HOBBY STATION will be located at 4610 Alvarado Canyon Road Ste 3, San Diego, CA 92120.
However, happiness also came with some sort of misfortune. Unfortunately, due to many circumstances, our HOBBY STATION is not able to open on the dates as planned. The grand opening time shall be delayed to late July 2025. Hence, we would like to extend the contest submission dates and also by appointment only. Hopefully, the grace period of time would allow everyone to fully prepare your model kit(s) for the contest. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences.
Alright, wait no more time, let’s get it started.
As stated before, I believe that most of us have already known about the Gunpla contest, either from friends or family but most of us are not sure about what it is and why it is called Plastic Tactics on our website, especially new customers.
Dear friends, please allow me to explain. Just like how other places perform the Gunpla tournament, at GUNNZO, we would like to harbor our very own contest with our own rules and passion.Therefore, GUNNZO Plastic tactics is what we named our Gunpla contest platform. This year, at our GUNNZO HOBBY STATION, we will be more than happy to welcome all the participants to participate in our 5th Plastic Tactics. And how is our Plastic tactics different from the regular Gunpla contest that may seem? Well, with Plastic Tactics, we focus not only on the skills of the builders, but more importantly: we want everyone to enjoy their progress of building their own Gunpla. We want you to give it all your imagination on your Gunpla and let it shine on stage. The moment Gunpla shines on stage also reflects your dreams and passions. So please don’t hesitate to share with us your dreams and passions for the future. It is your passion that forges your skills that I always believe! This time Plastic Tactics model kit will be Beargguy Ohanna and Haro.

Entry deadline: August 9th at 5pm

Your Gunpla will be judged based on your skills and presentation methods.
Before participation, anyone who enters the contest will be given a discount code for purchasing the HG Deargguy Ohana and Haro model kit. Also, for the registration, we will need to ask for your personal information. There will be five winners this year, and we also have many rewards for other participants as well.
